Since we purchased the Miramar Hotel site in February 2007, we have met thousands of residents, attended dozens of meetings, and listened to countless ideas about the future of the property. And what we’ve heard time and again is that it is time to bring back the Miramar.

One thing is abundantly clear: the Miramar is a special place. Its unique appeal isn’t just because of its beachfront location, but because of the place it holds in so many people’s hearts. Almost everyone, it seems, has a story or wonderful childhood memory to share about visiting the Miramar.

We understand this, and have worked hard to honor the spirit of the property in our vision. We spent a long time collecting your comments and designing a plan. And then we shaped and reshaped the plan based upon your continued input.

In the end, the hotel we have designed meets the standards of the Montecito Community Plan and is consistent with the scale of the surrounding neighborhood. It has been endorsed by every homeowners organization in the community including the Montecito Association, and by hundreds and hundreds of people like you. And I truly believe it accomplishes our most important task: restoring the Miramar to the great place it once was for future generations to enjoy. Isn’t ten years of a hotel sitting vacant long enough?

I hope this website will answer all of your questions and give you a thorough understanding of our vision for the Miramar property. We hope you will help us bring back the Miramar.

Sincerely,
The Miramar
